What artistic source do the following have in common: Marlon Brando, Donald Sutherland, Joan Baez, Jackson Browne, Rod Stewart, Brian Wilson, The Byrds, The Grateful Dead, Oingo Bongo, Timothy Leary, Greenpeace, Tree People, United Farm Workers, Black Panthers, ACLU, NOW, women's health guides and children's literature? They are among over 300 clients of PEACE PRESS, a collective of activist artists who created an 'alternative everything' printing and publishing business. It sprang from protesters of the Viet Nam War and flourished amidst U.S. counter-cultures 1967-87. Decades later, an L. A. Valley College film crew goes in search of the PEACE PRESS former clients and lessons that might apply today.
