This is the story of an aging undocumented worker, Jamie, and his young widowed daughter-in-law Lupe. Lupe is more of a daughter to Jamie than his own children and their lives are soon disturbed by mayhem. It is their desire to stick together, however forces beyond their control make undesirable circumstances inevitable.
