Newport Beach Film Festival 2008

Abu Raed is a lonely airport janitor who has always yearned to see the world, but has never been able to afford to travel. One day, a group of children in his poor neighborhood assume he is a pilot and beg him to share stories of the world outside of Amman, Jordan. Through imaginary tales, a friendship forms. He soon finds out the grim realities of the children's home life and takes it upon himself to make a difference.

CLOSING NIGHT GALA: Following the film, please join us for our Gala Closing Night celebration of the 2008 Newport Beach Film Festival. This celebration will be held at the Via Lido Plaza.
