Newport Beach Film Festival 2008

Having followed his girlfriend out to California’s Wine Country for the summer, Sherman is thrown for a loop. He is dumped, loses his wallet and his mother cuts him off financially. Desperate, Sherman agrees to help an acquaintance, Palmer, restore a classic Roadster in exchange for a ride to Southern California. With the aid of Palmer’s friend, DJ, the trio is set to finish on schedule. As they make their way through gallons of grease, bondo and paint, Palmer and DJ introduce Sherman to fishing, swimming and the art of picking up women. When Sherman’s romantic encounter with Addy gets him to question his career choice, Palmer must decide whether to do what’s right or what’s in his best interest.
