Newport Beach Film Festival 2010

After the death of her parents, Elle, an aspiring singer/songwriter, moves in with her adoptive uncle and begins working at his independent record label. Accustomed to the laid-back approach of her roots in country music, she has trouble adjusting to the glittering sheen of her new surroundings, including the egocentric antics of the label's biggest act, Sensation. The frustration of her new environment and the misplaced guilt over her parents' death disheartens Elle, until she meets Ty Parker, a famous pop singer who notices Elle's musical talent. Her relationship with Ty revitalizes Elle's interest in singing and songwriting and inspires her to explore her ambition.
